Update on Web-based version

Dear Churches, we wanted to give you a quick update on the web-based version of Five Talent Church. During this development and testing phase we are continually checking
performance, flexibility and ease-of-use to make sure we are delivering much more than you expect. Due to this rigorous testing and development we have shifted the deadlines once again by one month. We are shooting for a 3.0 release at the end of January with the other releases shortly following. Once again you can find the road map at

We know that many of you are hoping to use the financials starting on January 1st so the
year-end contributions would be complete for 2009 and easy to generate the year-end donation tax receipts. Since we
you will not have the ability to use Five Talent Church online by January 1st we are suggesting that you continue to track contributions they way you currently are or start tracking them in an excel file
(example
here). We will convert these contributions to Five Talent Church free of charge so that all your contributions will be there for 2009 and the year-end donation receipts will be complete.

Beta
Testers

For those of you who have signed up to be beta testers, the testing will begin
shortly after January 1st. Each of you will get your own account and will
be able to start adding your own data. We will keep you posted when we are
ready for your testing.

Nov 2008 - Introducing Five Talent Church |

Wow, it has been a while since our last newsletter and a lot has changed over
the course of a year! Today we are announcing the demo release of our web-based
church software,
Five Talent Church. This is only a demo release with the production releases
to follow soon. About a year ago, when we were still working on the previous
version of the web-based version, Microsoft announced the upcoming release of Silverlight. This is a brand new technology for building cross browser and
cross OS platform web applications. At that time we made the strategic decision
to build Five Talent Church on this new technology platform because it will
allow us to build web applications that look and behave more like traditional
desktop applications, yet also provides us with a mechanism to more easily
deliver new features and bug fixes.
The initial feedback we have received for the new web-based application has been
very enthusiastic and positive regarding the new design and the new features of
the application, which include new items like volunteer hours, visitation
records and pledges. To see a more complete list of the changes and additions

estimate of the production releases, we are still estimating a January 1st

revelations. They approached us a month ago and asked us to do a cover

July 2008 - Soul Management is born again! |

Soul Management has been born again! Five Talent Software has rebranded all of our products and services and now have a complete suite to offer the churches. The complete suite includes Church Software, Web design, Web hosting and IT consulting. You can find out more about Five Talent Software and the other services here. Soul Management is now Five Talent Church. The transition will be smooth during the upgrade process and the look and feel of the software. This is in anticipation of version 3 of Soul Management which will be completely browser based and will also have a face lift within the application.

July 2008 - Version 2.3 Released! |

|
Version 2.3 has been released! This release is a series of bug fixes and minor functionality changes. We are working hard on version 3.0 of Five Talent Church so this service pack is going to ease the transistion to the next major version. It has fixed the quick contribution screen, payroll additions and deductions, a few reports and several other minor bugs.
One noticable difference you will see is the default color scheme, icons and logo has changed. This is also in preparation of the next version and the rebranding that Five Talent Software has under gone in the last few months. Let us know what you think! You can find the service pack at here. |
